Long time, no blog... (hangs head in shame). Rather than try to play catch up,
which in all honesty shall never happen, I will simply attempt to blog more often :)
I am still living, breathing, reading, couponing, thrifting,
herb gardening, mommying ,(yes, I made that up) ,
collecting, and such. Oh, and my new passion.. Flickr.
 And "The Big Bang Theory".
And eating almost all organic foods.
And, Isagenix.
I'm sure I have left something out.. Oh, well...

I feel like a blogger failure! I am really excited about Autumn and have lots of wonderful things to share so I am hoping to keep up with my blog better! That being said, welcome Autumn!!

My 5th follower just made my evening! Welcome to my humble little cottage here in the blogosphere, Erin!!! So random, but, here is pic to celebrate my new follower...vintage Pyrex in action...Cobb salad in Spring Blossom Green! I think Erin will appreciate this ;)

I am huge fan of all things handmade, including Etsy! That being said, I am also a vintage Pyrex collector because I LOVE it! Put those together and you get these amazing little lovelies!
How adorable are these?
And these?!
I'm definitely ordering some prints to go with my blossoming Pyrex collection!
Visit Erin at her Etsy shop...all her creative work is so wonderful and affordable, too!!!

Vintage Pyrex, how I do I love thee? Let me count the ways... My sweet little collection is growing up and out of my cabinets and pantry...I should stop buying Pyrex and save for the oh-so-lovely pie cabinet with glass doors and shelves I've seen at AMOL...that stands for Antique Mall of Lumberton! It was founded in March of 2001 and several of my former school teachers and principals now have booths and are dealers...how I LOVE AMOL and CLAM. Oh, CLAM stands for Country Lane Antique Mall and is owned by the same people as AMOL...I find amazing things at both and they are located here in my hometown...sweet.
I brought this one home today after Mrs. Orr marked it half price...$4= happy!!!
Well. may as well back up a bit...My sweetheart gave me some cash and encouraged me to go-a-thrifting...so, I did! With this trip I came home a happy little Pyrex hunter! I got my very first Pink Gooseberry Pyrex!!!! The dealer gave me a little discount and got the larger 3 of the 4 Cinderella bowls. The largest 2 are in near mint condition...the smaller of the three is a bit faded but Who cares?! I am so proud of them !! I also got a precious pink and gold Pyrex cup and it was on sale too..this invoice earned $5 in AMOL bucks which I turned around and used for..more PYREX!!!
I have been to both Country Lane Antique Mall and AMOL this weekend and had a wonderful time!
I used my AMOL bucks to purchase a  sweet Yellow Fridgie in MINT condition for $4.oo and purchased the Butterfly Gold small Cinderella bowl pictured above. I always have my cell phone out and ready in camera mode so I can snap pics of Pyrex I want so I can plan my thrifting around it later on. It's also fun to shoot photos of the different displays with Pyrex because it makes me feel giddy and nostalgic!!
Pink and gold rimmed Pyrex cup, sweet...
Today I scored this MINT condition #043 in White Snowflake with Turquoise...my FIRST 043 at $3!!!! It was half price and did I mention in MINT condition?!
My lovely Pink Gooseberry Cinderella bowls...worth every penny!!!
My adorable little Yellow Refrigerator dish...mint condition w/o a lid :)
I stopped in last Saturday and found this!!! A No. 78 Pyrex cradle for $1.99 ...wonderful!!!
A couple of weeks ago I scored this large Square Flowers/Verde casserole with lid and cradle for $8.25...yes, only $8.25!!!!!

The trip before I bought the Pink Gooseberry, I found this Town & Country Cinderella bowl, near mint condition and happy to be with this one I bought on my second flea market trip in early June!
I should try to blog regularly because "back-blogging" about my Pyrex collecting is a bit much!
My collection looked like the above pic week before last...its about to spill out of the top of my pantry...my clear vintage Pyrex is on the bottom shelf of said pantry along with many extra lids for Pyrex-to-be...
More of my collection from the left side view...I love the two larger White Gooseberry Cinderella bowls! They were a flea market find, cheap, and MINT !!!
And, here is my first eBay Pyrex win/purchase. I won't bid on/buy on eBay or Etsy unless it is a really great deal. I got this small Spring Blossom Green mixing bowl for $10 and that includes the shipping. I began my collection the day before Mother's Day with my very first flea market trip...I spent about $150 and scored my first vintage Pyrex pieces and lots of vintage sheets and linens. I also got some pink Depression glass too...it was a great day !
An AMOL purchase for my blossoming SBG collection!
Dear Mrs. Hutchins, my English Honors teacher, gave me a great deal on my first Butterprint piece! She marked it down and told me she'd do the same on any other Pyrex in her booths!!! It's sooo sweet! I need to stumble upon lots of Fridgie lids because out of the 3 I have only one has a lid...
I'm going to try to focus more on my blogging and less on Facebook and Pinterest...I think it's the best way to record my collecting and connect with others who share my passions and interests...right now my life is about simplicity, whole living, and all-things-vintage and happy!!!

I just found the most wonderful website!!! It is chock full of great information about all things recycling! Being frugal, thrifty, and eco-friendly is WONDERFUL and this site is super for advice and DIY on everything from recycling do's and don'ts to composting... go here now !

I can't believe today is June 1st and my blog has been ever so neglected. I keep pinning on my Pinterest and think, " I can blog about this!". Well, that just leads to more pinning, more projects, more DIY ideas and well, you get the point. I did, however, start many wonderful things I have been wanting to do for so long and that makes me feel happy! Let me list them in this post so I can feel even more excited over my recent productivity:
  • 1. I created an amazing little outdoor sitting area complete with my garden bench that I painted white.
  • 2. I visited Betty's Bloomers..an amazing nursery with the sweetest lady, Mrs. Betty, an 85 year young sweetheart who started it all before I was born. I bought many wonderful plants and...
  • 3. ...herbs. Yes, I FINALLY did it..I started my first herb garden!
  • 4. I went to my first flea market, twice. I went the day before Mother's Day and again with my Makenna two weeks ago.
  • 5. I have been thrifting, a lot. Goodwill is one of my favorite stores and I have scored many great finds including...
  • 6. ...VINTAGE SHEETS!!! I will be uploading and posting pics of them soon.
  • 7. I also started collecting VINTAGE PYREX!!! I stumbled upon a most lovely blogger/friend who inspired my new love of vintage Pyrex and vintage sheets...please do visit her blog here
  • 8. I visited my precious 93 year old Grandma on Mother's Day...took some wonderful photos of her sweet home and garden...
  • 9. Pinterest, well, my PinBoards have certainly bloomed...please do visit them here.
  • 10. I also watched The Royal Wedding, in real time, and loved every moment of it...so breathtaking. I am an official fan of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!
11. I  started my pink Depression glass collection and my fave flea market booth, DixieLand Sisters had some great finds to get me started.
So, Summer is almost here and I am trying to focus on what I have accomplished rather than what I haven't . I am excited about bringing many of my ideas to fruition in the upcoming months!
{Oh, I also made this...wonderful strawberry-basil iced tea with my own fresh basil !}
